Hey gang,

I am in the market for an SRT WK and am doing some research on aftermarket stereo options. I am seriously considering the Pioneer Avic-Z1 but need to know what fitament problems I may run into. What I am after is if anyone has a pic or the stock stereo that comes with the SRT WK. I need to know if it is square like the Nav unit or not. If the stock isn't square, than has anyone used an aftermarket kit yet for mounting a double din head unit?

Check the photo gllery here or go to jeep.com. I believe that they all have the square hole(mine has nav so I cant speak for one w/o) which is bigger than 2din.

The base radio is smaller,and has two half round openings at the sides for the large knobs, but its very simple to change the bezel to a Nav bezel which is a double DIN opening. No tools needed, it just snaps right out but you will need a 7mm socket to remove the little metal bracket at the top of the opening for the RAQ & REF radios. Going with the REF and buying a bezel will probably save you allmost what the Avic is going to run you.

Can you buy the NAV bezel from DC or do you have to aftermarket? I would like to remain a factory look. Refresh me what RAQ and REF are also please.

You can buy it from DCX, under $100 IIRC. The REF radio is the single disc CD player, RAQ is the 6 disc unit. REC is the Nav radio, and thats the bezel you would want.
