: Is Zaino really that good?
I see that several people here recomend Zaino polishes. Are thier products really better than the rest? I recently purchased a bunch of Ardex products from my local autobody supply store & used the wash & wheel cleaner, & I'm not pleased. Should I use the Ardex on the lawnmower & buy Zaino for the Jeep? Anyone not like Zaino? Anyone have any problems w/thier products harming the paint? Anyone use an inline filter to help stop water spotting?(if yes what & where to get?).
Zaino is excellent. I have never heard a bad thing about it. I used it for quite a few years, and always loved it. I switched products about 3 years ago, but it wasn't because Zaino wasn't good. If you use it, you'll love it.
ge2 what brand do you use now?
lincoln 09-11-2006, 08:42 AM Zaino is a great product and, as most polymers will, outlasts any carnuba based product and looks awesome when done right. I use Tropi-care, a competing product to Zaino. Why did I switch??? Tropi-care has the same results as Zaino but cures a little faster (less time) and is a little easier to use. It's also a little cheaper. My detailer (and friend) who used to do Zaino for me when I didn't want to do it myself is the co-owner of Tropicare.
Where do I get Tropicare?
I use Adam's Polishes product line. The wax product lasts a bit less time than Zaino, but the ease of application and buffing more than makes up for it. Once the paint is properly prepped, I can do 2 coats of Adam's Butter wax in 20 minutes. I use a p/c for applicating, so that also speeds up the process.

Follow the normal detailer path: wash, clay, polish, buff, quick detailer to touch up. I usually do two or more coats of polish the first time after a claying but then maintain with one coat every few months. This stuff last for many months if you don't use harsh soaps or go thru automatic car washes (which use harsh soaps)...this is pretty much true for any product, use a good car shampoo (I use Tropicare's stuff) and don't use too much and it will last longer then if you take your car to the car wash. The tire dressing is also a favorite of mine, not too glossy just a good matte black and last longer then most I've I've tried. The swirl remover is awesome but is also the most difficult of all their products to use, it's has a tiny amount of abrasive in it to remove marks instead of just filling them like most products do.
Beltfed 09-11-2006, 10:26 AM Zaino is a very good product and Sal is a really nice guy.
Takes too long though and that's why more and more people are saying that "Zaino works great......but I use something else." :D
Inferno SRT8 09-11-2006, 07:50 PM Use Zaino once and you will never use wax again. 15 coats on mine so far.
Str8Srt8 09-15-2006, 09:59 PM Zaino is good for Black. It's also what the astronauts use!

Any idea what is safe to use on the suede like material?
Goldengreek5 09-18-2006, 12:24 PM Maybe a stupid question guys, can I use the Zaino by hand, or do I need a hand buffer?

By hand is recommended.
Doctyphoon 09-09-2007, 01:06 PM Plus Zaino's new Z-CS is super quick & easy to apply, looks great (even on black)and offers excellent durability! Once you have the initial Zaino base down, the Z-CS makes it easy going!
BOOST ALMIGHTY 09-09-2007, 03:10 PM BEST STUFF EVER!!! I dont use anything else.
slow91 09-09-2007, 03:31 PM Zaino.........period.
ToastR 09-09-2007, 06:36 PM Don't have a GCSRT8 - yet. But I do know that Zaino has been awesome for my Audis. So deep and glossy, and I particularly like the tire dressing.
Jeep and GTO 09-10-2007, 11:39 AM Yes, it is that good.
CentralTexHemi 09-10-2007, 12:08 PM Zaino user here, just claybared the Hood and front end and side mirros (its gets all the bugs) this weekend and did a quick job of it with the Zaino and wow what a difference.
DavesSRT8 09-13-2007, 04:56 AM Zaino for 10 years, mainly dark colored vehicles. We also detail cars on the side, and have exclusively used Zaino all this time also, due to durability and looks. Have tried just about all of them over the years, and Zaino always wins out.
Make sure that if you decide to use Zaino, whichever polish you decide on, get the accelerator so it will cure quickly, and allow you do to more coats. Just put 2 ounces of polish in the enclosed mixing bottle (enough to do the Jeep, including roof), put in 10 drops of accelerator, shake, and you're ready to go. Will normally cure very quickly.
