HEY GUYS,

Anyone know if you can swap the final drive gearing inside the diferential with another one from a Grand Cherokee that will translate in lower rpms at highway speed?, (cant remember if it's a higher or lower number).

Granted this beast is geared for quickness. For me it has more than plenty of that. It's just hard to get use to a 6.1 l beast going almost 3000 rpms at 80 miles an hour. Big motor plus high revs...... too many gas stops.

Any help will be treasured.

what sucks is th 20 gallon tank. this thirsty truck needs at least a 25 gallon tank.

if you have higher gears it makes the rpms go up and the lower you go the lower they go. now if you do alot of highway driving you would want to lower them, but if city driving is what you do the most then keep what you have. you could also slow down some. I have the 4.56 gears and I came up from the 3.92. city driving has made my mpg highr but if i go over 70 mph then it goes down the faster i go.

I'm afraid that's not a realistic possibility. It's like I was telling my buddy the other day, "The best thing about 420 horses is that it doesn't seem to get old!" :D ;)
