Me too,
I have posted many threads,,, where are the people who bought the kits already, we keep hearing that GSM have pre-ordered kits to some customers and they are suppose to have them installed by now?
GSM.. please advise

It shouldn't dyno much less than the other srt-8's which made roughly 500 whp and torque.

The jeep kit uses a smaller supercharger then the 300 and charger kit. It could have a different dyno result...

Just got off the phone with Scott from GSM and its a typo on the supercharger size. Its also a 1500 NOVI kit.

That's what I thought. I'll let you guys know as soon as I get mine (I pre-ordered) should have it by next week at the latest. And then goes to the installer. YAAA!!! :D

What is your guy charging you for the install?

It depends, the shop with the dyno is $50.00/Hr, or I go with a guy I know who does custom builds, who I know pretty well, he will charge me $25.00/Hr. So we shall see what happens. I need all the parts first. :D

There are only a few shops in the Orlando area that can handle the install and tuning. Estimated around 1500.00 for both!

I'm not sure why anyone would use such a tiny blower (more like a heat gun to this motor) on such a large engine? A Novi 2000/2200 would be a much better pairing. Personally I wouldn't go smaller than an ATI D1 or Vortech T-trim.
A 1500 isn't even suitable for use on a 4.6L 4v.

srt8suv
09-09-2006, 12:29 PM
I share with you the same point of view.. I was talking to a friend of mine who is an expert in these things and I mentioned to him that i am planning to buy a supercharger for my 6.1L, which is the 1500, and he told me that the 1500 is usually for 4.0-5.0L engines!!

Anyway, lets see their Dyno sheet next week as they promissed:rolleyes:

GSM
09-09-2006, 06:27 PM
Actually the novi 1500 is capable of supporting 825hp and it is a vortech T trim with a paxton housing.

Vortech T-Trim spec's
Straight cut spur gear
Fits engines up to 825 horsepower
Maximum airflow: 1,200 CFM *
Maximum boost pressure: 26 PSI *
Maximum impeller speed: 55,000 RPM
Adiabatic efficiency: 73% **
Available with straight or curved discharge and clockwise or counterclockwise rotation

Paxton 1500 spec's

The NOVI-1500 is for modified engines that need efficient airlow up to 825 horsepower
Maximum airflow: 1200

The only Difference we use is the SQ gear set for quiet operation other than that they are the same units.

The base kit provides increadable acceleration and smooth driveability, we will be at the track and on the dynos in the up-coming weeks. we are waiting for the next open track day at California speedway to run and we will be testing out at the 1/8th mile at Irwindale this week

did any of your customer installed it yet, i mean those who are not at your location which you have installed yourself?
what is your estimate of the output horsepower?

GSM

We have started shipping units this last week and we have installed 3 customer jeep srt8's so far .

We have our own SRT 8 Jeep, that will be going to the publications in the next couple of weeks, but before we let it go we will be on the 4wd dyno we just installed at our new faculity.

HP / TQ estimates should be about 120 hp and 140 tq

If anyone is local in southern california our SuperCharged SRT-8 jeep is avilaible for test drives..:D

Please e-mail me your info so I know who you are. ryan@gsmotorsports.com

As I advertised, I have been waiting for the boxes from the coater and the CAI kit's have been delayed for this reason. I have 4-5 that are leaving today in the order we received them. As far as the ESP, I'm curious as to why it has not left. My apologies if it has not left. Send me your info so I can look into it and I will make it right.

Casey,

We spoke yesterday and everything was okay and you understood. Once again, I apologize it's taken so long. The CAI and ESP is being picked up by FedEx tonight. I was instructed by you on the 14th to hold the ESP until we had the CAI. The tracking# is 656752710000971.

Thanks again Casey.

I am not going to blame any one person on this. If it was the coaters problem for being late then that is obviously not your fault. But, I cannot blame them since I do not know them nor did I order it from them. I am in sales for Verizon Wireless and I deal with this type of thing all day long. It just sucks when you want something so bad and it takes forever. Its life I guess :o

Ryan... as long as these two products are great then it will be worth the wait and I am very happy, then I will continue to buy things from you and your company.

For those that haven't had a problem with GSM or haven't ordered anything from them... they (or atleast Ryan) are responsive and explain things and are sympathetic to your situation.... Thanks Ryan!! :D

You work for Verizon??/Holy S#*t talk about poor customer service.Almost all of the people I have spoken just know how to read from a script.Just call it payback SILVERSRT8. Nothing aginst you,I have just had some crazy phone conversations with Verizon

SilverSRT8
09-21-2006, 08:32 AM
I sell Verizon. I do not handle customer service. I talk to people all day about this stuff and there is always going to be somebody who hates Verizon, Cingular, T-Mobile, or Sprint.... always! But when it comes down to it and every survey, test, statistics... verizon is rated number one for the past 3 years. What you might find weird, last 9 quarters verizon was number 1 in customer service.

This is the one thing, I can argue, and know my stuff on. I have worked for everyone of those carriers, kept my verizon the whole time.

Im starting to think somthings not right here ! Most performance companys cant wait to brag about all the power there parts make. This has been way to long for dyno numbers. Not to mention how many kits have they installed 5or 6. You mean to tell us not one of them got dyno'd. Might be true ! Or the numbers arent so good, and leaking the numbers could slow sales! You make your own assumptions. I hope im wrong!! Id like a kit but will not buy till we see some figures and some customers Dyno & Track!

Give these guys some slack for christ sake. Everyone always wants everything right away, unless they have to do it themselves. If anyone should be *****ing it should be the guys that pre-ordered superchargers months ago, and still haven't gotten them yet. Like ME! There's going to be snow on the ground soon. This waiting game is starting to get old. Don't market a product unless it's complete and ready to ship. JMHO.

not to sidetrack you but do u know of the cause of some of the hemis that have been grenading?

GSM
09-25-2006, 11:14 PM
To answer your question the failure rate is very low on hemi's period,

I posted this response,

We have over 1000 superchargers installed in the last 2 years.

In the last year we have been featured in motor trend 2/06 road and track 5/06, trailer life(good sams hemi ram) tuned on regular 87 octane 8/06, street trucks 439 rwhp ram tech article 9/06 and Hot Rod tech build up 714 hp 5.7 10/06

You can blow up anything supercharged or not....

you can also run your car with in two inches of its life and always find someone to blame, the post on the customer mentioned was happy with the kit but had many "other" mods that affected the "tune" of the vehicle

We design and provide a pre calibrated ecu, we can not be responsable for added mods with little or no tuning, we have added a dedicated tuning support package for any one that wants to go wild and needs tuning support

The Jeep Supercharger kit rocks and is our most OEM kit to date.
