Hi, here is the specifics on the extra coverage I have chosen. I'm wondering if it's worth it considering what's covered by factory warrenty already?

I chose the Protection Plus option(it was chosen for me) and it's costing me $2155 of my $48,462 total price. I have less than a month now before I take delivery of my 07' and have until then to cancel ther coverage. I dont mind spending money on a warrenty but...if its redundant to the factory or overpriced for the extra coverage it does provide then I don't see the point. Especially since I plan on a couple months shake down and then modding it with either a stroker kit and/or a turbo which will toss most powertrain coverage anyway.

I'd like opinions either way as to whether it's a good deal or not. Also, if any other coverage packages are avalible at a better deal.

Unless you plan on blowing up the engine or trans don't you think if you saved that money for when your warranty runs out in 3 years that you could make the necesaary repairs with that $2155 plus whatever interest you can earn while it is sitting in the bank. I say "cancel" especially if you plan on modding because your warranty on the engine will be voided with the mods you plan on doing.

If you plan on procuring a stroker or supercharger, do not buy the extended warranty.

However, if you change your mind, and only decide to perform mild modificaitions, and if you plan on keeping your vehicle for over three years, the warranty is imperative.

Most people do not plan on blowing engines or trannies, but if either did need to be replaced, $2,000 would be a drop in the bucket.
