Re: Zoomers Exhaust group buy

Hey guys,

I just wanted to let you know that I have been in contact with Ron at Zoomers exhaust regarding a system for our trucks since November... It looks like we are shooting for the end of this month to get started on the prototype (we have been trying to coordinate our schedules).

I'm looking forward to getting a less restrictive system on my Jeep to see what kind numbers it puts down. Ron told me that they plan on doing some baseline dyno runs before he takes off the stock system to see where were at. He'll then put it back on the dyno to see what kind of numbers we get with the new system. They recently got dyno #'s for the 300 SRT8 they were Horsepower: 22.6 HP gain @6100rpm, 21.8 HP gain @5400rpm, 16.8 HP gain @4200rpm Torque: 23.5Ft-lbs @3700rpm, 20.3 Ft-lbs @4700rpm, 18.2 Ft-lbs @5600rpm.....

Monday March 27th is the day. I just got off the phone with Ron and set everything up. He is very excited to get this project going (very impressed with all the enthusiasm with these Trucks). Once the prototype is made the turn around time for the actual system is a few weeks. The actual cat-back will use the same material as used in the other SRT8 systems (all stainless steel) 3 inch all the way back with an x-pipe. It will be similar looking to the Magnumís set up check this out:1. http://www.zoomersexhaust.com/MSRT-8/magnumSRT8.html.

As for cost Ron told me that will depend on how involved the system gets. He expects the cost to be similar to the other SRT8 systems or a little less. As for the group purchase, the more guys we get on board the better. We can expect to get a least a few hundred dollars off (possibly more depending on how many guys we get). I think we have 14 on board so far so itís looking good.

Re: Zoomers Exhaust group buy

Nice going!

Ron/Zoomers is currently wrapping up the R&D on a system for the C6 'Vette using my car and it looks amazing. I can hardly wait to hear it and feel it... They do such amazing work, back their product better than anyone out there, are great guys, and have amazing customer service.

My 'Vette will make us a 3 Zoomers family, I also have their system on my 300C and hubbeee has it on his Sierra P/U.

Here's a link to the pics of my 'Vette "under construction"

Thanks bangin, meee too!!!
The audio/video will be done in a few days and I'll get her back next week, but from a few forum members that live close, all accounts are it sounds awesome. And I just saw the "after" dyno... Wow! Bigger gains than we expected.

The work Arlasky Performance has done on the SRT8 300 & Magnum is great, I'd expect nothing less for the Cherokee SRT8. I'm a Zoomers convert for life!

Ron at Zoomers said that he expects the system to be similar to the other SRT8's (I think they run around $1200), maybe a few hundred less.....depends on how involved the system gets. He starts on the proto-type on 3/27, so we should know something more then. With the group buy we should save a couple hundred $$$ maybe even more depending on how many people we get...were up to 22 now.

Re: Zoomers Exhaust group buy

That exhaust system is going to be really sweet. It looks like its going to have all the goodies including the X-pipe. I have the X-Pipe on my 99 Viper's system. The X-pipe has worked great in eliminating interior drone noises due to the exhaust pulses canceling out as the gases cross. System is loud at WOT but quiet when cruising. I think the Zoom system is going to develop great performance and an awesome exhaust note the way they designed it for the SRT8.
