Question Thinking about Kooks, is it worth it?

I am thinking about getting the Kooks headers/hi flow cats. I am curious as to what is involved as far as install cost, additional parts, etc.

Also what is impact on daily driveability? Also what is impact on warranty? This will be my first foray into headers and want to be careful.

Thanks for any information.

-Jerry

Re: Thinking about Kooks, is it worth it?

I am in the same boat as you. I am looking for the same information. Too many questions. Anyone in the Boston Ma area have this installed that I can kindly see, or go for a quick ride with? I hate to sink 4K into the Jeep and then wonder why I did this to myself?

$4k for headers? Are they made of gold? $2500k tops w/ install.

No....

I am refering to the headers, Corsa exhaust, B&G Stage II programming, and install.

Does anyone know if I put these headers on my truck if my truck will still pass CA emission test?

No they are not legal, just ask the general what he thinks, he is not getting much of a increase, I personaly would not buy these, the shorty headers that are on these things flow pretty good on a stock motor, on a built motor it would be worth it.

They also need a cam and a port matched intake, that = more air in and more air out.
