So I just bought my 06 Jeep SRT8 and I'm wondering if I will benefit from changing the stock mids/exhaust/throttle body. Was interested in the Magnaflow catted mids, Borla or Corsa cat-back, and either a 87mm ported throttle body or a BBK 85mm cast. I know the Arrington 90mm is to big but it sure looks nice with the Arrington intake.
Based on the many threads I've read, exhaust doesn't do much. You need to do headers all the way back to see any benefit, which gets nice and pricey. It's more about pleasing your ears and maybe alittle bit on the butt dyno.
Changing the throttle body is worthless unless your going change/port the intake.
A tune is best bang for your budget buck when modding.
Then change the intake and the t-stat to a 180*. These with a tune are the most popular mods to start with.
