Cut resonator today....

Waiting for a cat-back from Corsa this Christmas

I experimented on my truck to day just to see what the exhaust would sound like if I cut the last big resonator before the back mufflers.

Local shop by me welded straight pipe in place of the resonator. Its not too bad until you get to about 3500 rpms. Starts to get real raspy from there to 5500 rpms. Driving around cruising at 60 mph had a nice mellow vroom to it but you punch it and it growled like a bullet shot out of a gun!

Has anyone ever dyno'd the SRT-8 GC with the big resonator cut out or ran some times? I really would like to know how they did? Now that i did this mod on my truck do I/should I disconnect the battery for the car learn its there? Any info would be appreciated. I searched this out but only came back with bits and pieces on the resonator.

P.s. this GC puts a smile on my face everytime I hit the gas

Thanks in advance!
