...So tonight, i may have driven my Jeep for the last time. As you may or may not have heard, my Jeep is a former TE vehicle that is very quickly succumbing to its short life as a track day car, driven by the best drivers that Chrysler has yearly access to... But tonight it all changed.

Visiting my dad, my 6 month old daughter and I were on the way home doing about 72mph when my front end; for loss of a better set of words... Took a shit. The ESP BAS and TC lights came on all at once, the truck lost 5mph instantly and sounded like the front differential carrier has failed. It howls at all speeds and at 1030 on the side of an expressway... I had to stop and get out of my Jeep... In the emergency lane.. Among the broken glass and tire shrapnel, feet away from speeding traffic while i made sure there was no loss of fluid (or parts) hanging down underneath. Then I had to make a call for an escort home for me and my daughter... And had to continue the rest of the trip on side streets.. The sound just gets worse...

Now Chrysler has put me and my family in harms way. Im not fortunate enough to have enjoyed driving the crap out of my Jeep as a lot of you have... I wasnt even able to fit a catch can and CAI before it started to die.. A short block, or differential at a time.

Chrysler started my claim yesterday, turned it over to SRT today, and this happened tonight. I dont think just fixing my Jeep "Under Warranty" is acceptable. I have until Monday to vacate my current residence and move out of state. This is not an option. I HAD made an appointment to bring in my Jeep the morning I got into Las Vegas... But it didnt make it.

If Jeeps answer is unacceptable tomorrow, then an attorney on retainer would love to see this. And get the answer that I am looking for. I dont want to come off as a litigous sort of person, but the knuckle dragging pace is not somethig I am willing to put up with any longer.

Chrysler still will not accept any sort of culpability for selling me a TE vehicle. They KNOW but refuse tobadmit fault. My VIN AC148927 is entered in the system everytime Chrysler farts on my car. Not only that, my carfax stated that Chrysler Motor Corporation Auburn Hills, MI. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY DID WITH MY JEEP AND I HAD TO FIND OUT MYSELF. They sold me a vehicle they hoped that they could hide and recirculate. This was a gamble that they made and I ended up losing. They got my 43000 dollars for the Jeep and another 4000 in coverages. I was without my Jeep for almost a month once, and now I may never drive it again. SAD. Really sad. I LOVE MY JEEP. THANK ALL OF YOU ON HERE.

Glad to hear no one was harmed because of your latest problems. IMO you have every right to feel the way you do & I feel you should be refunded every penny owed to you. Its one thing if its just you in the car but endangering your child is something else. I think you should go to the media with your story & not just local. None of the TE cars should have ever been sold no matter what. I hope they do the right thing for you.

Good luck, as in my experience Chrysler's customer service is garbage. I had a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited that took a dump when it was three years old with 60K on it. It was the straight 6 cylinder motor, and the rear most freeze plug rotted out, allowing the coolant to run out and subsequently destroying the motor. The number one piston ended up with a hole in it.

I called Chrysler to no avail, I was even told I should have "cleansed" the freeze plugs, LMAO. I went through multiple people and got nowhere. I ended up putting a Pep Boys short block in it, and trading it off, vowing to never do business with Chrysler again. Although I am about to purchase an SRT 8 LOL.

Dang Jess, I'm sorry your SRT isn't up to par. I'm usually not for litigation but this sounds like an instance that law suits were made for. A huge corporation selling an over used and abused product with no concern for the person on the receiving end. I would get a lawyer on board and pursue Chrysler. At least go down to your local dealership and make some noise, and if they don't correct the problem maybe they need to be included in the law suit.

You're going to have to get high enough up at SRT to someone who can make this right. I'm sure someone on here can an get you some email addresses. Squeaky wheel gets the grease in these sort of issues. I've seen it happen on all sorts of forums over the years. Get to the right person and it will be resolved in a day.

I'd let the SRT case manager do their thing first then if you're not satisfied I'd be emailing everyone I could find an address for at SRT. If that failed I'd go the legal route and also go to any and all media outlets you can find. You'd be amazed at who/what stories Fox News will put on the air for 30 seconds in the mornings. Big car manufacturer selling a track vehicle to unsuspected buyer who ends up in harms way with a 6 month old. I'd watch that story on the news.

I'm sorry you're having all of these problems & I hope they get resolved soon. I agree with ringmaster, Chrysler customer service is absolutely useless for any help. They go out of their way to deny everything & avoid assuming any responsibility for incompetent dealerships that bear the Chrysler name, but have no relation to them when anything goes wrong.

Hell with all the noise its making, drive back and forth in the dealer's lot until you get some action. Offer test drives to customers!

Your story kills me, how the heck can they even sell a vehicle like that - at full price no less - and then not take care of it when it fails. Leaving you and your daughter on the side of the road like that. I have a young daughter and if her and my wife were left like you were, I'd be just beside myself furious. Sue them if they don't handle this. It is what lawyers are for. You could have been killed, I have seen a person standing by a broken down vehicle on a freeway struck by a car with my own eyes and had a family acquantance killed the same way. It is a real risk.

Everyone on here has been really great, and will help me build a strong case. I dont have an attorney on retainer, but a helpful soul on here has passed some great information on to me for this particular subject.

The situation as it stands is this... My case manager Anthony has run out of corporate procedures that he can adhere to and Chryslers decision is this... Fix and continue to drive the Jeep until the next irltem fails. And then the lemon department reiterated my local state laws in regards to lemon laws. They are following procedure. After requesting the truth in Chryslers word that my vehicle was a former TE vehicle... They respectfully reclined to do so. THEY HAVE FULL KNOWLEDGE WHAT THEY DID WITH IT WHILE THEY WERE THE ORIGINAL OWNER. But, to minimalize liability, "we don't know for certain"

My case goes beyond procedural normalcy. Im going to take an aggressive stance. Going to contact various media outlets and Im not kidding when I say this, Im going to even email Oprah.

I have to leave my Jeep in California to get serviced. Im relegated to some other horrible rental car that i didnt pay for. They also refuse to ship my Jeep, so I have to drag my family back to California just to pick up my Jeep.

Everyone is going to hear about this. Im going to be driving a time bomb. Please all of you, just protect yourselves. Ive got a great support group at home and on here. I appreciate every word that has been said in regards to this.

AND ANY OF THOSE ON HERE THAT ARE REPRESENTATIVES OF CHRYSLER MOTOR CORPORATION... MOVE THIS ONTO YOUR BOSS AND THEN THEIR BOSS AS WELL. THIS IS NOT OK. JUST BECAUSE IM A SINGLE MOM DOESNT MEAN A CORPORATION CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME. YOU'RE MESSING WITH THE WRONG MOM.

I'm assuming it means it was used for the SRT Track Experience.

Jess, I have no idea what good this will do, but we have a Chrysler Top Care Customer Service Agent at www.300cforums.com. This guy is legit as far as representing Chrysler goes. His name is Tony Morris and goes by the user name ChryslerCares - http://www.300cforums.com/forums/members/33558-chryslercares.html. Might be worth registering there and sending him a PM.
