Re: can "we" do fan mod ourselves?

I should have this up by weeks end. Keep checking here------>>>>

http://web.mac.com/drivenphotography...ep%20SRT8.html

I apologized for the delay with the Direction for the ABS and the Fan. Ofcourse the week i start this site, my businesses have me going crazy.

I for sure will have the ABS uploaded by Friday. My truck goes in Tomorrow for service so this may delay the Fan, since i have to do a few hours of R&D on the factory relay and schematics of the additional relay for the FAN MOD.

Thanks for your patience!!!!

I find it difficult to "search" the "orange" site, but Inferno SRT8 has a wiring diagram posted there that shows how its done. It basically involves getting a 40 amp relay that can activate the fan (low or high speed) using a switch that's connected to a ignition-controlled power source. I've done it using the positive wire of the cigarette lighter for the ignition-sourced power to connect to the switch that I installed below the dash. This switch activates the relay, that is installed in the engine compartment, which connects the battery source to the fan's low or high speed wire (mine connects to the low speed fan wire, which I run virtually all the time). I'm happy to give more details (mine's worked for the past 9 months without issues), but from what I've read, "FastSRT8GC" is going to detail the install on his ".mac" site very soon. PM me if you have specific questions on the how-to. It's a must-do along with a cooler thermostat.

I'd love to have this done, but would never try this alone in a million years. Anyone in SoCal want to do this together?
