doing avicz2 2007 srt8 with boston system

im trying to do the install and i tried 2 adapter pieces from metra. a chto01 harness which has the rcas for amp turn on which when hooked up i only got bass out of speakers and the tweeters to work. when i tried a xsvi6502 i had no sound but still had power. a regular 70-6502 harness gave me no sound or power. has anyone done an install in one of these yet with the 07 boston acoustic system? i work at an audio shop and trying not to bypass the amps and go thru all that extra work.

Order a Scosche DCCOR3SR(B) Wire Harness. They run about $125 and will fully integrate an aftermarket system into your Jeep, using your Boston Acoustic System. You can order the harness at any Best Buy via thier special order program. Go see one of the installers and tell them the SKU is 7884444.

Hope that helps you.

Can you post a picture of the AVIC installed? I would like to see what one looks like installed. I am lead to believe it is the same size as the factory radio.

It is slightly smaller. The Factory NAV unit is Double-Din 1/2, the AVIC-Z and AVIC-D series of radios are double din.

My AVIC-D3 is on order and I will have tons of pictures when it arrives.

Re: doing avicz2 2007 srt8 with boston system

yeah i will post some pictures, as far as fitment i ordered the srt8 without nav knowing i was putting a z2 in. so i went to the dealership got a navigation dash piece because the factory one is smaller then a double din and requires you to cut it but if you do a factory nav dash piece and a 99-6510 kit from metra it will work fine.

as far as any of the guys ordering pioneer, jl audio, eclipse, kenwood, rockford or any other equipment parts and everything i am a authorized dealer for all those products and will take care of srt8 members with that kind of stuff. just send me an email with what you want ill get some prices. my work email is jim.d@teamsots.com and the work website it soundoftristate.com not updated yet

I am still waiting on my AVIC-D3 to come from Pioneer (on Backorder). Once I do have it I will have full pics of the install (Avic-D3, 4-Channel Amp, Mono Amp, Speakers and Sub)
