Would go DIY, but wanted the serviced registered with the dealer as I'm still in the drive train warranty. The job looks to be very straight forward. I haven't tracked down a 14mm hex yet. I picked up the 10mm hex at Sears HW, but they didn't have the 14mm. Need to check an auto parts store I guess.

simple way to check.

jack up the rear end. spin either rear wheel, and if the other wheel spins in the same direction, then yes, put in the additive.

Test 1 of 2 results are in....

Jacked the rear and...... wheels spin in opposite directions! No LSA. I'm going to really enjoy this call to the SRT service line and the dealer's service director tomorrow! The director was kinda insulted I told him I didn't have confidence in their knowledge on the WK1s. Guess I gotta find another garage for future service. Not only is their name MUD, but mine will be too after this is all done.

Starting test 2 of 2.... T-case Fill Level...
I've fashioned my 25mm-35mm dipsticks out of kabob spears (shhh, don't tell wife)

Check this out, I bought this drain plug set since it is like the only thing local I could buy. Great because it has the short bits for the tight clearance, especially on the t-case.

These kabob skewers don't read very well, lol, what are people using as their NV146 dipsticks? Need a household item...

I used a coat hanger bent it 90* and used masking tape to mark off 1" from the top

Supposed to be closer to 1.4" from the top right?

25-35mm (0.98"-1.38") from top of the fluid to the bottom of the transfer case fill hole. 1.4" would be a little low on fluid.

I went with the masking tape approach at the 25-35mm range from the bend. Used the metal bar from one of those pants hangers with the two clamps.

It was tough to tell if I was bumping into the sides on the way in, but it seems the tape came out wet. So I think fill might be ok. Although its not 100% level in the garage and I went with driver's side jacked up a little. Used a flashlight in a pretty dark garage so was tough to get a good read while laying on my back and holding the flashlight with my chin.

So... With with 2nd test a pass, that's 50%, which is still an "F" these days, right? I checked the engine oil and it was overfilled... So that's only 1 of 3 right... 33%, an "F-". More fodder for my "chat" tomorrow.

I've had a good dry run for my next DIY NV146 drain/fill.
