Sell my super low mile 2007 or tuck away for a bit?

Hi all,

I have an almost mint black 2007 garage queen creampuff with 34k miles... I daily drove an M3 and kept this Jeep in the garage for mostly a weekend car.

I've had the truck bug for a while and ordered a 2017 Raptor back in July. Well it finally came in and is awesome. I got rid of the M3 for the Raptor. I totally planned on selling the Jeep too when the truck came it but its hard to let it go. Now have the Jeep and the Raptor and limited garage space... The wife is not going to park her car outside and I'm not going to fight her on it.

I hate to keep the Jeep outside and wont be driving it much. I could certainly find a storage solution for it but that seems kind of silly...

We will eventually move to a bigger place with more room and a larger garage but it may be a few years. Would love to build the Jeep some day, maybe.... I don't know. Not sure if it's worth putting into storage or renting some space in a friends garage for a year or two, or just letting it go. These Jeeps are kind of appreciating and it is getting harder and harder to find nice ones...

On the other hand the Raptor was effing expensive and it would be nice to get some cash.

Thoughts?

Even with the low miles on your 07 it will probably only bring 20/24000 anyway so you might as well keep it unless you need the money.

Sell it. If that trackhawk comes out I would expect increased depreciation

It won't begin to appreciate for at least another 10 years, if you go by trends in the collector car market.

Thanks, still undecided. It's a hell of a vehicle for the price. If I do sell I will post here first.

X2 on this. I sold my 07 2 years ago with 35k miles and i only got 20k for it. Ended up buying an 08 with more miles just for the small upgraded features. Im currently trying to find a clean 09/10 with low miles. When that happens it will be my 4th srt jeep lol.

All due respect but not sure where you guys are selling super low mile SRT8s for $20k. Around Denver I havent seen an 06 -07 gen one listed for under $25k even with 100k miles...

Dealers are asking $30k for anything in decent shape with even close to 50k miles. That's Denver for you though.

I can tell you that I wont be asking 20k for a mint 07 with 35k

Yea the '10s hold the most value, as they are the last year of our body style. For a 2010 in good shape with similar miles, id say 30k, maybe 32k if it had like 15k miles or something like that. For each model year older subtract roughly 2k, being they are in similar condition with similar miles. Thats just my logic on it. Yes there are 2010 jeeps for sale for close to 40 grand, but they were about that new due to chryslers bankruptcy & the ability to stack rebates across all model lines. To charge close to what the vehicle cost brand new 7 years ago is absurd.

Never said I wanted $30k, but not selling it for $20k, For $20k I will keep it and supercharge it. Somewhere in the middle is probably about right. I didn't mean for this thread to turn into a "whats it worth" thread, I'm just debating whether to sell or not. Either way, no worries.

EDIT: I always believe on letting the market speak for itself. If I list it and am getting little to no interest, then I am too high. If I sell it in a day then I may have been too low. If I list it than I am sure I will sell it for what its worth. No need to argue about value... The market will tell me (this is coming from a guy who has bought and sold a LOT of cars over the years).
