What are you paying for insurance on Jeep SRT8?

This is supposedly classified as a "P" car and I've been getting quotes for $300+/month just for the SRT8.

sounds too much yes it is a "P"erformance car but your payments should be MINIMAL differance in comparison to a regular car... i have a family plan so i donno how much exactly for the srt8 only but i owned a 05 ram 1500 and the diff between them was under $10 a month.

100-300, 1,000 deductible on comp and collision, property damage 50,000, under/uninsured motorist 50,000, and medical 5,000.

$521 per year with GMAC/Good Sam Insurance. Been with them for about 13+ years I think. Only one claim for storm damage on a motorhome in 97, (since sold) and they were great to deal with.

Re: What are you paying for insurance on Jeep SRT8?

You are suffering from inflated quotes because of your age. 25 is the magic age for car insurance - rates can drop 300-500% depending on your driving record.

Until then, I recommend the switcharoo; title the vehicle under a parent or relative.

I pay $100 / month for full coverage with a $500 deductible.

Re: What are you paying for insurance on Jeep SRT8?

Interesting timing on the post as I just received my policy for the new year in the mail yesterday. I can't remember what I'm paying cause I don't have it in front of me but it's somewhere around $70-75 per month. I can tell you for sure that I pay less on the GC SRT8 than I do on my wife's 2005 Nissan Quest (no comments please, this is our daily driver for the kids).

Here in NJ, I'm getting raped. $190 a month with Allstates best coverage.

And I'm 26, with a PERFECT driving record. Never been given a ticket.

The monthly price I quoted earlier (70-75 per month) is also for NJ. But please note that my price includes a significant amount of discounts because I use the same company for car insurance, home owners insurance, umbrella insurance, life insurance and personal articles insurance. Also, I have been with the same insurance company for 15 years, no points on my license (knock on wood), married, over 30, etc. Based on this type of stuff, it's really hard for any of us to compare since everyone's situation is different.
