I have read good things about meth injection on the NA 392 so I decided to try it and see.
I installed this Nitrous Systems meth kit today
Used their bottle and installed the low level float
Sat the pump on the frame rail and used electrical ties to secure it in place
Green On light and Red low Level light
Pedal Switch
Still have to install the relay but the rest of the wiring is done.
I can add something out of stainless or aluminum to wall off the CAI
If it doesn't work out I can use the pressure switch and put the kit on my SC Vette :nerd:
Well I got it done and added my uber divider.
Goes all the way to the frame.
I like how it sounds without the afe airbox.
Now I'll have to go out and test it doing some WOT blasts.
This may take a while for a thorough evaluation >
Run out of room pretty quickly.
I'll let you know in a day or 2 how it works (or doesn't) :nerd:
Oh
This is how I made the divider that goes down to the frame
to keep the hot air out of the CAI.
Had to cut around the ABS.
It's made in 5 pieces and screwed together.
The other pieces go further up and to the back and the other one goes over the CAI plus the piece in front of the CAI
When you get the cardboard cut to fit you then transfer it to sheetmetal
I've gone through my first gallon of ww fluid :x
That didn't take long.
For science :nerd::laugh::laugh::laugh:
Well there's always Methaholics Anonymous :wink2:
if this gets out of hand >
The reservoir holds 80% of a gallon.
I had some Frost King duct insulation left over from my sub box so I decided to line my wall with it.
May as well be thorough :nerd:
With the duct insulation on the engine side the CAi side is cool to the touch.
The dividing wall is a good idea.
It can be made "better" but it won't do anything better blocking the hot air than this setup and when you put the duct insulation on that is the final appearance of the finished product.
Hemi Cruiser - just do your thing man.
The 2 guys Viking told you to model your build after are having shops do their work. You're messing around out of your garage with basic hand tools. Don't get me wrong, I'm not encouraging anyone to do hack work, but I'm also not trying to bash it.
Keep us posted.
While this build for me is most definitely being built by a shop ive worked in a chassis fab shop for 4 years while i was getting my first company goin. I built everything from tube chassis cameros to go carts and then moved to the engine lab where i installed blowers and assembled blocks of all makes. This was the first build ive let someone else touch my car because i didnt want it to take a year. Just sayin
But anyways get them wood screws out and keep wrenching man everyone has to start somewhere
