New to SRT. I have a 2014. At lights or stop signs with foot on pedal car seems to have a rough idle intermittently, The needle dosent move on the tach but the car feels as if it has a split second misfire. Also hear a low rythmic knock/tick. I am told the noise is normal for hemi's. Really want to check on the idle issuue.
Thanks in advance
I have a 2014. There is a lot of valve flutter in the motor but you can't hear it inside much. My jeep is so quiet at idle I can't even tell if its running sometimes. No spuddering, noises, nothing. Maybe you have crappy plugs? Any codes? How many miles?
I feel like mine has an awfully rough idle also, and im coming from a duramax. Has 52xxx miles, good service record according to carfax. Not throwing any codes. Plugs bad? Ive read that they are good for 100k.
My '14 idles @ 800-900 and you can definitely feel the engine, but it's not sporadic. It's just a consistent rumble. This is after they did a few system updates. Prior to that, it would either idle around 600rpm or jump up to where it idles now. Problem with the computer update was the Track Mode shifting is insane now.
