Wasn't this test found out to be off because they over loaded the truck by a couple hundred pounds?

Besides... We hardly have any moose in the lower 48.

Brian

As for tuning there is only really one qualified tuner and he comes from Jersey....

Has Chrysler done anything to combat this claim. I'm seriously considering a 2014 SRT8 and this "moose" test is making me look at other options. Did anyone do the "moose" test in a SRT8?

I read somewhere that Chrysler did the test themselves with the truck properly loaded to specs and did nearly a dozen tries and couldn't replicate the issue. I'm sure it would be even less of an issue in the SRT8 with the lower center of gravity and wider stance due to the 295 tires.

I wish Chrysler could post the video or better yet if someone other than Chrysler could do the test. I agree a wider stance and lower ride height "should help" but would like to see some confirmation.

I call BS!

Chrysler could not duplicate the results. Chrysler Engineers went to Sweden and the magazine could not duplicate the results that they at first exploited...

If you are worried about that happening to an SRT8 Jeep...you either drive like Sabastien Vettel or you believe way too much of what you see on the internet! Not happening unless you are at VIR and have a hippo in the trunk driving like a maniac.

If this was just internet "spin" then why would Chrysler send engineers to review the test? If you Google "Moose test", the GC shows up everywhere. The internet is how everyone researches info nowadays, its just what makes the most sense after one researches all the info. Can't close your eyes just because you want to own one (which I really want one bad) or you already own one. The "Moose test" is to mimic an evasive maneuver not racing lines around the oak tree at VIR.
