Pricing on 2017 SRT's

Hi All,

I am looking at trading in my 2015 SRT and upgrading to a new 2017. My local dealer has 3 available and when I bought a couple years ago I was able to get a decent deal, listed at 71k and I paid 64k. What are people seeing these things go for now?

Also, I have the Harmon Kardon sound system in my current jeep and none of the vehicles at my dealer have the upgraded sound system. How much of a difference is the upgraded sound versus stock?

Thanks in advance!

Tony

I traded my 15 in for a 17 a few months ago and got just about every option you can get. I think the window sticker was 77 or 78k. Wrote a check for 35k along with my 15 SRT and drove away.

Why not wait for the '18 and get the updated 8.4 screen? It is much nicer. You can see it in the 2017 Chargers and Challengers, and the new 2017 Jeep Compass.

The difference between the stock sound system and Harman Kardon is significant. I love the HK sound... would never buy one without it. I just got my '17 this past weekend. Sticker was a little over $79K, and they gave me the employee price of $71K and some change. Offered me fair trade value as well (only after harsh negotiation).

Is an upgraded screen really worth the thousands he would probably pay for an '18 over a discounted '17? Dealers are trying to move '17s off the lots. '18's won't get steep discounts any time soon by my guess.

Also, the new screen was successfully swapped into some of the Dodge vehicles over on the Hellcat forum. Requires the display headunit and the USB/media part - about $1,000 for the parts. But last I heard, heated/cooled seats weren't working. Who knows if we'll be able to do a swap - if we can, hopefully it's without issue... but don't count on it.

RE upgrading the UConnect... it is worth keeping an eye on that hellcat forum post as it is very active. Current information is it is about 1800 before a potential trade in rebate and all issues have been resolved. There is no upgrade for the Jeeps yet as they need a Jeep to actually be shipped with the newest UConnect (forum said it was the Wrangler) to figure out the mounting.

You can get a charger hellcat for about the same price as a 2017 srt8 jeep with about the same options.

You can get a charger HC for way cheaper. I just got my dad a loaded HC charger for 61,000 with all my discounts.
