I know people have been clamoring for it, but after stretching out my Jeep on a straight-away in track mode at roughly 220km/hr and end getting a tiny taste of the death wobble, I couldn't imagine the panic I'd feel in that notably longer, 7-seater Durango in a similar situation.

Left Lane for Life.

If you want to set land speed records take out the 911 turbo s or if its sunday the mclaren p1. These will stay +5 ton SUVs.

I saw that on my motor trend app. Gotta hand it to dodge for making awesome cars! I am sure there are those who need the room but at the same time want to drive something exciting. It doesn't have to be an all out race car, just a big SUV with some awesome performance stuff on it

Land speed records? My old 2001 Caddy STS held 220, fully controlled, without even blushing. Maybe I'm misinterpreting, but are you suggesting taking my $85,000 'Street & Racing Technology' equipped vehicle up to a whopping 85% of its top speed on perfect road conditions isn't recommended?

Just saying a suv is a suv...or you need to do some extensive suspension work and what not?!?

Yes, they're identical to the Jeep - 475/470. I think the same Brembo brakes as well and the image shown has the new brick red (or whatever the color is called) Laguna leather interior. I would bet a lot of guys are going to want it for the hood alone, given it has both a forward facing intake and the twin rear facing air extractors. Looks pretty dang nice, imho.

The extra 400 lbs in weight won't be helpful for spirited driving, but you're getting a lot of bang for the buck with it, that's for sure.

I hear you, I'm just being obnoxious.

On another note, here's a link to Dodge's "Durango SRT Burnout" vid. 8,600 lbs of towing capability too.

These new durangos look sweet. My wife is really liking them. We down graded in size from a Tahoe w/ 3rd row down to the jeep Srt. She's already talking about trading the jeep in on one of these.
