Supp guys , i have a 12 w about 40k on the clock , use her as my daily and have grown to absolutely love her!
i have a cai and a cat back Corsa system , so a few weeks ago i started up and went off on my way like usual and i noticed what appears to be a heavy drivetrain vibration!
i can feel it in the steering wheel and when on the gas and throughout the entire bottom of the truck , floorboards even when my hand is resting on the shifter. whats weird is that even in neutral i rev it up and i get it as well.. when im in a higher gear cruising the beast is smooth and sexxy faaackin weird rt? mostly lower rpm's and lower speeds , if im doing 80 on highway its gone again
so when i had the corsa installed the 1st shop i went to kinda jacked up the alignment and it was touching the under carriage and rattling so i went to a reputable shop and had em remove and reinstall about a year ago now all has been fine , when i 1st felt this vibration i was like damn maybe the exhaust became loose and its touching so i went back to the 2nd shop early last week and everything is fine and tight..
So im lost now and come to the Master's , maybe one of you guys could gimme some insight on this.. my girl was smooth as a whistle from 0-115mph always and now def not!
Side note , the drivetrain clunk (mystery clunk) has either gone away since this problem started or i simply can't feel it or hear it..
Here's my Rigg , just got in it in that pk spot and started her up and its clearly evident that the issue is cming from under the rear seat axle section and vibrating,gringing,whirring etxxx rt through Entire truck even in park i feel it w my hand on dash!
I saw my Neighbor last nite he's a mech , a true jdm guy but know's his shit and he said maybe there is a rubber mount (kinda like a motor mount) in between the truck and driveshaft that has gone bad maybeee ?
he stated that since its all low gears and rpm's it'd make sense cause when you go faster it lessens but the fact that in neutral its there w a quik or long jab at throttle the driveshaft is spinning so to me (and idk shit)
it makes sense
so does anyone know if there is a driveshaft mount or something like this is our truck's?
Not too sure what he's referring to, but the driveshafts mount into the differentials/transfer case. Have you checked the front and rear driveshafts for excessive play?
Ok so i brought her in last mo for the oil pressure sens and an oil change and stated that i have a come and going vibration and to pls ck it out. picked her up and still had the vibration and told the sa that i would drive it till i blow it up lol.. he lol'd too
yesterday i start and goo and all sudden the 4wd light starts flashing and the truck was kinda bucking and what felt like the tranny was slipping so i continued to beat the balls outve her hoping to drop a drive shaft or someshit and by time i got to work the flashing was constant and the service 4wd and the 4wd light was on solid along w a cel. when i turned the steering wheel the truck itself like the wheels got really tight and i had 0 judder. i think i lost the 60% rwd and it was just the front wheels driving the truck. took her in for service also beating the shit outve her the whole way and it drove pretty smooth and ok lol
when they plugged it in i had a code for service 4wd and transfer case motor failure , so i guess it was the trans case.. strange thing is that when i started at work i had the vibration in p,n,d everwhere in armrest and shifter and steering wheel but when we restarted at dealer to show the tech the vib. i was talk about it was gone so idk wtf !
got no call's today so hopefully tomo but who knows w these guys , gotta 16 gc its actually pretty nice and refined haha i'll keep the tread updated
Sooooo , gotta call yesterday that the motor in the trans case went and they were gonna replace it. i was a lil surprised that was all it was and they were confident w that so i asked nicely just to have em drive her and beat her a lil to confirm and make sure the vib .. was gone he agreed and said he'd call
Sooo this am i gotta cll and he say's the shop foreman did not feel comfortable at all w the drive of the vehicle and went ahead and got an approvall from maxxcare for a new trans case , rear drive shaft and driveshaft mount's so lets see hopefully she drive happy and smooth after all this..
been almost a week w out her and im starting to actually miss her even though i have a 16 gc loaner and i drive my other fast cars at nite and when not commuting to and fro work but im seeing that this **** of mine has gone from a side piece to a main squuuezeee:sex:
Been on the hunt for a low mileage 15 since a couple few weeks agoo but i donoo if i should wait on this trackhawk Bs to ever come out to see if prices tank. any opinions
I'd wait on the trackhawk unless youre a baller. Its going to be marked up and hard to get in addition to being $80,000 or more. I'd wait until after the 1-2 year famous depreciation takes place. Now if that mean you need to slum it in a 2014 or 2015....that's another discussion entirely. The 8 speed and LCD dash is certainly a significant set up!

10 days still no truck back , having w drawl's for sure haha , yes thats kinda what i meant i have no intentions on getting a trackhawk as this vehicle is sector'd for commuting 20 mins to work , groceries lmao , hm depot lmao even more , etc a daily of sorts.. i have a few other really fast vehicles that i enjoy.. i bought this as an Suv w some fun just to have for rain days and commuting etc.i have really grown to love it as stated above..
do i wanna trackhawk faaaack yesss but as is the damn hellcat's down here in S fla are still going for like 15k over... Reg srt jeeps are sell at sticker not a penny less its like the dealers think they have gold and the cars just sit around agaiin Dik's !!
w this being said its prolly safe to say that the trackhawk is gonna be 85'ish +15k for the prem tax the dealers think they deserve = no thank you!!
if it was my primary toy surrre i'd already have a dep on one and i'd be ina 16-17 patiently waiting but as stand's my car payments + ins are :grin2: jawdroppping lol and to add another 100k to the stable w im what im sure will have dawgshit resid's and $$$ factor's makes no sense..
so i getta 15 w low miles found one w 6k miles clean , blk , loaded for just round $50k i'll beat it for another 2 years or soo then i'll grab a track hawk at that point after the buzz is gone and hopefully just like this 15 i getta good deal..
The Hellcats have depreciated a bit, but not in the typical Chrysler way - that's probably a good thing. They are stable in price, but they still have taken that initial first 10k-15k hit. The same thing will happen with the Jeep.
My guess is the MPG on the hellcat jeep is going to be worse in real driving which could be a concern for commuting, and yes for sure is going to be expensive as hell. I'm still considering it for my next vehicle, but really really want a Panamera. The problem is, at the price the Jeep Hellcat is going to get to, its getting close to the X5, and X6 M in price. The 2015 on up M SUV's are pretty damn nice now, and fast as F. Not a fan of the Porsche SUV's. I guess we will find out.
In reality, a 2014-2016 with a properly built supercharger and tune is going to be a TON less than a Trackhawk, so its going to need to be something really special. Its going to need more than just HP, maybe some nice interior trim options, maybe a tiny bit of exterior trim to set it apart from the base 392. I'd suggest a more aggressive front lip, simple rocker trim, and rear diffuser to add detail. For $80-90,000 its going to need something else...
i agree 100% im an M guy all day in fact i have a 16 m5 in the garage w 1200 miles waiting ona set of wheel's to finally come in after 4 mo's of waiting and owning the damn car to finish up the build.. She will make rt at the 640hp/660tq after im done once the wheels arrive lol. i have a huge section of my garage just boxed up w brand new M goodies that need to be install'd she's aside from tint bone stock so coming from a 14 M5 that was a monster as well. So this one is actually boring to drive haha hence the 1200 miles in 4 mo's..
i've actually come from an x5m into this Srt and have had 6 M5's over the years.. the x5m was def was the best all round vehicle that i've ever owned across the board.
Since i really have grown to love this Srt the 1st american car i've ever owned your absolutely rt i can get the 15 w 6k miles basically new truck for 49k dump a serious 16-20k and w a couple few 9-11 lbs boost actually be smoking the trackhawk in fact a year and a half ago i inquired w the master george (pass gas master) about Sc'n and what not and w the 30k'ish mileage i was kinda turned off so i nvr did it! now lets say i have 10-12k miles then that make more sense and maybe i'll build an animal outve this 15 and hed out on the prowl looking for trackhawks lol
As for mpg 3 cars i avg 9-11 on all 3 lol , most people in this perf category really are not to interested in mpg there will be a Niche market for these trackhawks and they will sell/fly out've the showrooms or sit there w a 15k premium on top of sticker and just sit around waiting on doushebaggs to come in and say gimme that --- wait what is it:twak:

took a 20 mile drive to wrok from dealer and as for now the vibe was gone im hoping it was the drivesshaft mount which i felt like it was time will tell..
Ohh yesss , i love happy ending's hahaa but not did i receive mine till i had my guys at work rub their balls on my S/A car then a spray wax for a shine like no other and a serious interior cleaning last sunday for 45 mins...
