Hey guys I am seriously considering going the Vortech route on the Jeep and have been calling around to a couple shops in Calgary for prices on install and tuning. Anyone have experience with Dale Adams Automotive? Vortech complete kit, install and E tuning thru Dyno Steve at RDP is 7500.00 anyone have any other options or suggestions? Called Davenport and was quoted 9500.00 plus shop supplies.......I laughed at him and hung up.
They put my Harrop on and are definately the best shop in town. I have my Jeep there as we speak getting some stuff done. Im not a Vortech fan which will be proved on may 14 up at Edmonton against Kokanee.
Can't wait to see the duel. I will be there.
I was sure Newfie was going for Vortech also?
Question for chippy, did you have any issues in the freezing cold with the supercharger this year?
I really want one but I am worried that in cold weather, it won't work right.

Sorry my bad Kokanee I forget you northerners are different, Yah the Newfie's gonna go down. Im talkin smack to make sure hes ready is all. As for the cold I have not drove it in really cold like -20 as its parked for winter average cold like -10 just let it warm up just pulls alot harder and i mean alot harder.
Sounds like I better join the bandwagon and get up there then as well for some base runs.
I may have a CAI and tune by then though… still will be itching to get her down a decent track by then I’m sure!
Hey guys, just went and checked out Chippy's Jeep at Dale Adams shop this morning and that Eaton/Harrop blower looks seriously bad ass on that thing. Screw the Vortech, i am getting a quote on this system with the trans Valve Body upgrade. My bank account is going to take a s**t kicking.
Stock airbox gonna stay as I love the silence nobody knows it has FI its so quiet. Talking to the Magnuson engineers at Sema they actualy stated they tried cold air intakes and measured only 3HP gain so for that small gain Im not trading stealth. I am in the process of having a custom tube from that factory airbox to the TB just for bling factor. Dyno Steve at RDP tunes it.
I think it would look great with just a tube added. Make it a nice siver or cromed one. It looks damn good and I like the roots style super better than the centri. Have you run it at the track yet? Is Dyno Steve at RDP in Calgary?
