Sub setups that don't take up a lot of room!

Hey guys - I really want to upgrade my stereo but I want to give up as little of the cargo area as possible, ideally none. Small single sub setups, shallow mounts, anything. Has anyone mounted a sub on the side of their jeep? Lets see some pictures! Thanks

I upgraded my system to the Kicker Audio, with the exception of the Sub.
I have a http://www.amazon.com/JL-Audio-AUDIO-500-1/dp/B00078WIWS/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1352309231&sr=1-3&keywords=JL+500%2F1 Amp and an http://www.amazon.com/LC2i-Audiocontrol-2-channel-converter-factory/dp/B004CTBYGE to feed it.

For the sub I have http://www.amazon.com/JL-Audio-CS113TG-TW5-13TW5-3-Enclosure/dp/B0043G5UHK and it is F''ING AMAZING.

Very Shallow, takes up almost NO room in the back. The only think is that its a little too tall to to fit the "hatch cover" without some kind of rigging. But I wouldnt use it anyway. It would distort the sound If I did. It really sounds like 2 strong 12's.

One of the few cases that it EXCEEDED my Expectations. I am VERY happy.

I believe it's JL that makes a box that molds right into your side cover so there is nothing at all in the middle or on the ground. With sub it's around $600. I have two 10's and I've seriously considered ditching them due to no trunk space.

Does the sub fit behind the single fold down seat or do you have to put it behind the double?

Ultimate Subwoofer Install

Where has everyone else been?

I have hand fabricated and built everything in my Jeep myself and this is my idea
of a space saving subwoofer install. Let me know what you think!

Hi, I see you're from Edmonton also. I went to Certified Radio south location. They have a 10" box that just fits in under the cargo cover. I think the brand is "Bassworkx". Doesn't extend out much further than the cargo cover bar. The face of the box is glossy, but it's easy to carpet that front of it if you want. I have a Kicker 10" it in, with a small amp under the cargo floor. Sounds great. You could even put two of them beside each other if you want. I also built a hook to attach it to the child seat anchor on the back of the seat like the stock box. Think the box cost me $90 or so. If you're unsure a box there will fit, ask the sales person to come outside to test fit it in the vehicle. They're pretty good there. Sorry I don't have a pic handy.
